My name is Patrick Alexander and I have been drinking
wine for sixty-five years. When my doctors and my wife suggest that I should
maybe curb my enthusiasm for wine, I like to explain that I am only doing
it for research purposes and that I owe it to the readers of my book and the
students in my class, to be as well informed as possible. So today, as I begin
this new blog, dedicated to the pleasures of wine, I accept that the pressure
upon me to continue my research have grown that much greater. Nonetheless, I
owe it to my readers to persevere
I shall strive to do so.
