An intense three week (6 Hour) program designed for anyone who enjoys wine and who, ideally, has taken Patrick's 6-week introductory course (or read his book). Each 2-hour class is held on Monday evenings after work between 6:00 and 8:00 PM at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida.
- Four individual wines are tasted during each evening session for a total of twelve different wines by the end of the program
- Limited to a maximum of sixteen sympathetic souls who enjoy sharing a rigorous, weekly learning experience in the Coral Gables bookstore
The $150 fee covers 6 hours of lectures,12 different wines, and all class materials
CLASS ONE will be a refresher class, summarizing everything covered in the original six-week class. The class will be accompanied by four different French white wines.
CLASS TWO will examine the great red wines of France. In the Rhone Valley the focus will include Hermitage and Chateauneuf du Pape. In Bordeaux the focus will be on Medoc, St. Emilion and Pomerol while in Burgundy the focus will be on the legendary wines of the Cote de Nuits. The class will be accompanied by four French red wines, maybe not as ‘great’ as those being discussed, but no less enjoyable.
CLASS THREE: Normally loath to discuss prices, Patrick will examine the world’s most expensive wines and discuss why they are so famous and why so expensive. In any event, as always with Patrick’s classes, each wine will have a story – a story which he, and you will love to share. The class will be accompanied by two whites and two reds from ‘New World’ wineries.
